There’s nothing quite like camp to bring kids to the feet of Jesus to be set free and live the life they were created for.
This campaign is about reflecting on God’s faithfulness over the decades and celebrating this camps first 100 years of impact while strengthening the foundation for the next 100 years.
Camp matters…not just because of the fun & friendships, wide games & campfires, waterfront, and cabin shenanigans. It’s not the buildings, the activities, the amazing property or rockstar cabin leaders that give this place it’s wonder. Those things make camp epic...larger than life...but they’re not the main event. Camp matters because we believe every person desperately needs the hope of Jesus. We create space for that...and have been for almost 100 years.
Our history that has lead us here
The Road to 100
Almost 100 years ago God gave one bold follower a vision to lead and plant the flag for God’s Kingdom in Alberta by building a Baptist camp on Gull Lake that would impact generations for God’s glory. Since the very beginning the heartbeat of this camp has been to create space where everyone who enters is welcomed to belong, invited to believe, and challenged to become.
Decade after decade tens of thousands of young lives have been impacted by this ministry and experienced the extravagant love of a God who invites them into relationship and sets them ablaze with purpose, passion and love. Buildings and leaders have come and gone but through it all God’s faithfulness has never wavered and neither has our commitment to His calling. As we approach our 100th anniversary we’re inviting you to celebrate and build with us.
We are convinced that the sacred space that this camp provides for people wrestling with the pressures of an increasingly noisy world will be even more important tomorrow than it ever has been.
Our vision for tomorrow
The Road to 200
Today...we are more alive than ever. We are not slowing down. Camps are overflowing, summer after summer Jesus is deeply transforming hundreds of lives, and this ministry is becoming more sustainable by the day.
We believe we’ve still only scratched the surface of what God wants to do through this place. We don’t just want to maintain...we want to build. We want to create more space for people to play and pray...where the silly and sacred collide in a way that changes lives. We long to invite more people to follow Jesus and develop more leaders to reach their generation with the good news.
We believe God is calling us to do two things in this season...
